BUILDERS TEE CLUB LOCAL GOLF RULES 2010

1.      All USGA rules are to be followed except for the following:

  1. Clubs - You may carry 16 clubs in your bag.
  2. Lost Ball - You may play a lost ball as a lateral hazard. The drop area must be agreed on by the other members of the group. One stroke penalty.
  3. Yardage devices – yardage devices will be permitted this year so long as they do not hold up play. If they are used, they must be shared with your opponents.
  4. Putting Ball – you may change your ball only on the green
  5. Handicaps – BTC handicaps are to be used.
  6. Out of Bounds – is still the white stakes and penalty is stroke and distance.
  7. Pace of Play – Please keep up with the group ahead of you even if no one is pressing you.
  8. Senior Tee Boxes – are for members/applicants who are 65 years of age and have a golf handicap of 36.
  9. You must play your ball as it lays. Do not roll the ball to improve your lie.
  10. Putting – please putt everything out!!!!!
  11. 9 Rule – this rule is designed to help speed up play. If you are lying 8 pick up your ball and record a 9. The only exception to this rule are for the following events: 2 Man, Club Championship, President’s Cup and World Series.
  12. If your ball is hit into a sand trap and comes to rest in a footprint or un-raked area of the bunker, you are allowed to lift, rake and place your ball in the same spot of the bunker. YOU CANNOT IMPROVE YOUR LIE! For example, if your ball is imbedded deep in a bunker, or plugged, you must play it as is. If you are unsure if you can lift, rake and place, consult the other players in your group and come to a decision. Any questions see Kamin.
